Training camp in Åkulla.

Harry (Bouvier) Maud, Anders, Lena, Jessika, Inga-Lill, Lizette Preparations, the "square" is going to be walked around to drive wild animals away and for the dogs to know how to keep inside the area. We mark the path, borders and corners with strips, if needed. Here the right-hand side starts with absolutely dense fir-forest. The rest of it is like a beech wood "dance floor".

A well prepared Indian chief figurant with walkie-talkie, marker and snuff box full of sausage (treats).

Påminner lite om Anders

Och vi har vatten med oss, du behöver inte stanna och dricka eller bada i dy som din syster. Inga-Lill and Ruffa is preparing. Today it was  loose markers and showing the figurant with her leach on through the dense fir-wood.

She also found a deer-shoulder to surprise the figurant with.

Kent and Ruffa.

Ibland får man ta hand om andras hundar.
Duktig hund, nosen pekar åt rätt håll. Anders sends Sally on her 2:nd strike.

Here Sally is showing Anders where the figurant is. She has the leach on and is going to drag Anders 50m into the fir woods. Can you see his heals disappearing in the green?

Anders och Sally, full fart in i spenaten, men jag lovar, snart går det långsammare.

Hälge och Disa, ingen breakdance här för tillfället.

Now we lie here again. Our masters and mistresses must have become crazy about staying practising. Kind of "gulag" of staying. But I (Disa) will get soft ham cheese afterwards so it can bee worth it.

Hälge left and Disa right.

Much stay training. Two times a day. 5 minutes without moving. It was plenty of dogs in this team that needed it. But Sally had a very secure style with her head in the ground. Disa, Urda, Findus, Ruffa, Pettson, Sally och Hälge. Bella utanför bild, lagd av fotografen.
Maud och Riesenschnauzern Hälge We also trained "finding". This is Hälge dressing up for work. Puck, bunch of keys and other little things in a square of 50x50 meter. Fun, the dog thinks.

Some of us had signed up for a competition in Forest NIGHT search, like a Grande finale on the camp week. so we had a darkness training also. Everybody wanted to join, also the not competing ones. We prepared the square in twilight but then it became dark quickly.

How would the dogs react? We were lucky, all the dogs enjoyed it. They were extra eager and bouncy. There was no wind and they had to work real hard to get in touch with the figurants, sometimes they were really slow to mark. We could hear on their footsteps and breathing that the dog was working.

Anders, Lena, snitzlar, Jessika och Inga-Lill
Jessika, Inga-Lill och Lizette Showing with leach could bee risky, following conversation was heard:

Path commander in Walki-Talkie: -"Dog is coming on leached showing"
PANG-CRASH
the dog owner shouts from the darkness with tense voice: -"she is coming on her own"

We had the weather gods on our side. When we arrived to the camp into our caravans and cabins we had just closed the zipper and then there was a really heavy rain.
